Bloodstone - A variety of opaque chalecdony, it is also known as heliotrope. It’s name comes from the belief that the red was spots were of Christ’s blood. There are rumors that the red in bloodstone is becoming a rarity and soon will only have it’s deep green color. It is mostly found in India but has also been gathered from Brazil, China, Australia, the US and on the Isle of Rum in Scottland.

Spirituality, bloodstone represents strength, courage, purification and dispelling the negative creating balance.
